About the Project
The essential Question for this project was, "What does it mean to be a educated voter?" With this question in mind, two class were each split into two groups to represent the two main party candidates, (Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton), and the two main third party candidates, (Gary Johnson and Jill Stein).
My group was assigned to represent the Libertarian candidate, Gary Johnson and his running mate, Bill Weld.
We started off by learn how to debate defense and offense in class.
We then learned about each of the candidates and their platforms.
We then moved on to developing a deeper understanding of the American’s Election & Voting system.
Overall, we spent the most time knowing the importance and practicing fact-checking of the candidates.
We used political propaganda to achieve the goal of getting our candidate to win our campus election
One of the more exciting steps of the election project was analyzing the role of media in today’s politics and how much it can influence a large majority of the voters. Finally, we learned how to debate and use political rhetoric and how to work as a functioning campaign team to educate others on the issues and most importantly. GETTING THEM TO VOTE!
Overview of our project description-
Our Inspiration for this project came from a quiz my classmates and I were asked to take on, isidewith.com. Here we saw which candidate best represents my beliefs whether they be political or personal. After taking the quiz, questions along the lines of, What does is mean to be patriotic?, and How can we,the future generation of voters, educate ourselves and others to become educated, active voters? We learned to educate ourselves about each candidates stances and stand with our opinions in an educated, informed and thoughtful manner.

Project Process
We started off by learn how to debate defense and offense in class. Our class then learned about each of the candidates and the specific in their platforms. We then moved on to developing a deeper understanding of the American’s Election & Voting system.
We later spent the most time understanding and practicing the importance of fact-checking of the candidates on all their platform/claims. Though this step took a fairly short amount of time, if felt like a eternity because of the insanely large amount of lies each candidate would say. Next, we used political propaganda to achieve the goal of getting our candidate to win our campus election.
