Esperanza dream is to have the house she can call her own. She overcomes bad experiences and being judged by her race and gender and finds away to leave Mango street without relying on anyone to help her accomplish her dream.
In the novel The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein, a extraordinary dog by the name of Enzo keeps the reader on their toes when he tell his journey he had with his with his owner Denny. Enzo struggles with only being able to use jesters to help the people around him.
